When you assert that you have been working a project for a year, people are going to assume that you have been working on a project for a year. When you assert that you aren't going to work on tilesets, people are rather obviously going to come to the conclusion that you don't intend to work on tilesets. Namely, that for some inexplicable reason far too many of you who post here seem to expect that we will gleam your thoughts from the ether of cyberspace, even when those thoughts are contrary to what is spelled in not quite literal black & white. There is a reason why I am always pointing out the lack of omniscience & telepathy as skill set amongst those who post solutions here. & people are meant to know you mean the opposite of X, when you specifically state X how precisely? So I would say that my previous assessment that you aren't going to create your game, unless you dramatically alter your own operational criteria, is wholly accurate. & now you've dismissed the sum totality of the inventory of probably the communities largest resource indexer. You've stated that you won't use the DLC tilesets here. You've dismissed modifying existing tilesets from other engines. You've stated you don't want to use the default tilesets. In your previous thread, you stated you weren't going to put forth any effort to create tilesets. Puppet if you think this is me being hostile you're a sheltered child indeed.Īs to time in the program, has it not occurred to you that someone who quite literally has one hundred times more investment in the program than you, might actually know what they are talking about? Instead I was introduced to some elitist with ~4,500 hours in the program going on a tirade about how RPG MAKER MV should and should not be used, when all I did was make an innoculous suggestion thread like I've seen some others make in the past. I expected it to stay dead for a few days, then maybe for some interesting suggestions to pop up later. Originally posted by Intergalactic Birdbrain:I did not want or expect any form of hostility when I first made my request thread. Please though, continue telling me how bitter I am. I just used a simple google search to find it. You didn't even bother looking at the contents of the link before you started whinging about how I didn't do all the work for you did you?īy the by, I didn't have it bookmarked or anything else. Oh, wait, I don't care at ALL about your sensibilities. There's also the fact that if people post good links in this thread, others browsing for similar assets will find it that much faster.īut no, this is a crime against your sensibilities, so I shouldn't do it. Or should we all just stop making request threads for fear of being told by some keyboard warrior that we use Google instead? How do you think half the stuff on Google is indexed and findable in the first place? By people making threads and asking questions. Obviously I Google search in adition to asking the question here. There are people here who actually make sci-fi related projects and may be able to direct me to specific tilesets that worked for them, or ones that may be easily missable or buried in a search. The amazing thing is, if no one wants to respond, then it will die, not affecting anyone around in the least. Posting a topic about resources in a resources section of the relevant game forum is nothing revolutionary here. I'm sorry your bitter today, but I'm sure I'm not the root cause of your terrible attitude.
#Rpg maker mv tileset how to#
SNES and NES games(not Nintendo or Sega) are mostly abandware at this point.Originally posted by Intergalactic Birdbrain:Everyone knows what Google is and how to use it. I say use it for personal purposes if you want that's a rip of a 20 year old SNES game lol. You guys in the RPG Maker community come off way to harsh on this stuff imho. there's no way the artist would care nor even know if you used it for the purpose the OP is intending. That tileset will not be of use unless you can get every tile without a white space in between. But of course it's not right legally, but as a continuing developer of my own Metroid fangame I support you Irish. You see them knocking Nintendo because it was still a project by a single guy that may have used assets but also changed the game in a unique way. The creator of AM2R took assets from older Metroid games and you don't see people knocking DoctorM64. I know this is an old thread but Irish, you do you man.
